Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of AIHeadshotLab ("we," "us," "the Service"), operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

You upload reference photos of yourself; we send them to our AI processing partner (Astria) to train a personalized AI model and generate professional-style headshots. This takes real compute time and is not instantaneous.

AI-generated results are approximations. We don't guarantee the generated headshots will precisely resemble you, match a particular style, or be free of visual artifacts. Results vary based on the quality of your uploaded photos.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping access to your account (via the email you sign in with) secure, and for all activity under it.

4. Content you upload

By uploading photos, you confirm that:

• The photos are of you, or you have the explicit consent of the person(s) pictured to upload their likeness for AI processing;
• You own the photos or otherwise have the right to use and share them;
• The photos don't depict anyone under 18;
• The photos don't contain illegal, abusive, or infringing content.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section. You retain ownership of the photos you upload and the headshots generated from them; you grant us and our AI processing partner a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service to you.

5. Credits & payment

Headshot generation is billed on a credit basis (1 credit = 1 training run, which produces multiple generated images). Credits are purchased as one-time payments processed by Stripe — we don't store your payment card details. Current bundles are listed on the Get Credits page.

6. Photo retention

Uploaded photos and generated headshots are automatically deleted from our storage 30 days after your project is created — see our Privacy Policy for details. Download anything you want to keep before then.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload photos of people without their consent;
• Use the Service to create misleading, defamatory, or impersonating content;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers — Astria (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Supabase (auth/database), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting) — whose own terms and availability may affect the Service.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
